Edho ennaala mudinja oru nalla kaaryam. I see an "Ayutha Ezhuthu(Yuva)" in the making. Since I was not able to volunteer for their campaign, I thought I will have a post about them. After reading Prabhu Karthik's blog, I wanted to do my bit too.
Check out this to learn more about their plans and election manifesto from Sudhish himself. I have a strong belief that these people will make a difference.
When I was discussing about this party to my father, he expressed his doubts because of the past experience. It seems that when Chezhiyan(a veteran politician) stood opposite to Vaijayanthimala(who knows nothing about politics) in South Madras earlier, he lost to her by a margin of more than two lakh votes. Ithanaikum south madras includes areas having "well-educated" people in the majority. People, do give Lok Paritran a chance. I am sure we will not regret our decision at any point of time. If people are skeptical about what a small group of youngsters can do, I just quote the dialogue between a news reporter and Surya in Ayutha Ezhuthu.
News Reporter : Oru naalu per naala enna change kondu vara mudiyum nu nenaikareenga?
Surya : Cricket la 100 runs edukanum naalum one run lendhu thaan start pannanum, naanga naalu per aa start pannirkom.

Everything needs a start and letz all hope that this is the long awaited start our nation needed!!
Am confident that as they expected they atleast make the party known this time and win the next time
Yes i too feel that we should give a chance to these youngsters....this wud surely bring out a change
The day they started the party...i have decided to vote for them....even if they dont win..the votes they get will give them confidence to continue their work....
The Hindu has praised their manifesto as "only freebie in the manifesto is corruption free government"...
Jai Bharat Mata Ki...
n,shuba and Bharani,
You have voiced my opinion!!
LP seems to be deviod of ideologies. They say they are educated and will only remove corruption.Their poll promises are too broad like,
we will do good.
we will not do harm.
but they dont spell out their programme and policies.i did go through their website and lot of other materials, they only talk about what they are going to do but never say how they are going to achive it.
i dont know whats their stance on kaveri issue?
i dont know whats their stance on reservation issues?
i dont know whats their stance on foreign relation and kashmir issue?
i dont know whats their stance on sethu project issue?
i dont know whats their stance on rice price issue?
how could i be assured that they are going to fight for the public?
they lack clarity and are highly impractical in my opinion.anyway I wish them all the best hope they'll grow in the coming year with some local experience with clear view.:)
MS.,
Gud one...i wish to vote for them & support....
Gopalan,
Everything cant be done at the start itself. As Surya said in Ayudha Ezhuthu, we need to start from 1 to get a century.
Though Lok paritran and DMDK might not win any seats, this election would give us all an idea of the number of people willing to bring a new party to the power.. This itself is a good start..
This number will always be in the back of the minds of DMK or ADMK, whoever comes to power.. They cannot take things easily if these two parties gain popularity. I believe we are witnessing the first step of a new future..
Gopalan - Which political party's manifesto has an implemetation plan? They all have only promises.
Gopalan,
No one can be experienced at start itself. They might not have clear ideas now but once they are into politics for quite sometime they will surely learn the nuances of politics. We should give a chance to them.
As Karthik rightly pointed out
//Which political party's manifesto has an implemetation plan? They all have only promises//
Adhuvum what kind of promises- Colour tv kudukaraangalaam ilavasamaa, TN makkal enna kenai nu nenachitaangala???
Balag,
Good decision, do vote for them :-)
Karthik,
Well said :-)
@Bala.G: Ayudha Ezhuthu is a movie, real political battle ground is much more cruel than what is depicted in that movie.Pls don't think that i'm skeptical about LP.I'm just writing my doubts that's all.
@Karthik:Yes, none of the political parties don't have implementation plan, is LP also one among them? What makes them different from all others? If u look at their website,u can see Sanskrit version and english version. We majority of youths in the city can understand English. how about youths in rural india?10000 or 20000 youth votes won't get them MP or MLA seats.Apart from all that, they are contesting in Tamilnadu now, kaveri water issue is the first and foremost issue for us,What's LP stance on that?
@Gopalan: There are a couple of things..
1. They are contesting only in few constituencies in chennai..They are not contesting in any rural areas..
2. Yes. Definetely they are not going to win any seats by the youths vote.
3. People in chennai do not give a damn about kaveri water.. It's only the poor farmers in Tanjore district that are fighting for kaveri water..
My guess is that's why they dont mention about kaveri issue in their manifesto..
Sorry Ms.Congeniality...we are using ur forum for our discussion...
@Karthik://* People in chennai do not give a damn about kaveri water.. It's only the poor farmers in Tanjore district that are fighting for kaveri water*//
enna karthik epadi solitenga?
heard about Veeranam water?athu enga irunthu varuthunu nenaikarenga? Why do u seperate chennai ppl from rest of TN?
sorry again Ms.Congeniality for this conversation.
Karthik and other LP supporters,
Why not vote for DMDK and elect Vijayakanth?
In what way LP is different from DMDK. Because these guys are from IIT?
And karthik. People in chennai give a damn about Kaveri water. Eh? As Gopalan said, from where does Veeranam water come?
The problem with LP is, those guys think they know too much :-)
A good healthy discussion :-) Gopalan and Karthik, sorry ellaam keka vendiyadhu illa..
I still feel that they can be given a chance :-)
@Ms.Congeniality: There is no question about it.LP guys deserve a chance, after all, these guys have the guts to do something on the field but i'm just questioning about their basic understanding of real politics.I 've no clue why they are contesting only in 7 constituency.TN is much broader than Chennai. They should have contested in all 234 constituency with more aggressive campaign. They got nothing to loose.
Gopalan,
Ippo thaana aarambichaanga, adhukulla avlo volunteers kadaikaliyaa irukum. If u read the blog in the link I've given they are also targetting Delhi and Gujarat elections in the coming years. Probably adhuku they might have more time to canvas!!
LP guys need to work hard..anyway they deserve a chance.I agree with gopalan
"Why not vote for DMDK and elect Vijayakanth?
"-F e r r a r i
podhunga..ivanga ellaraiym paathaachu..padichavanlukku konjam chance kuduppom
i am not a master of Indian constituional act on democracy and election, but with my limited knowledge I seriously oppose to have so much parties and so much distinct class of regional parties. A three party system with 49 O option for casting the vote will do. So if a party nominates a candidate - and if he is not a right candidate - just 49 o will make him non eligible candidate and if only two or three party stands in for election - there is a urge to nominate a candidate who is worth. if a party keep getting 49 o more than his favoring vote - he gets disqualified and party takes a foul face b4 public and they will start searchign for deserving party.
my view. I have more views but
Results tomm and lets see what's in store for them
